What people ask before switching
Is migration really free?
Yes. Switch by Dec 31 and we migrate your cap table at no cost (normally $750), on any plan including Free. A person reviews the import with you before anything goes live.
I'm mid-contract with Carta. When should I switch?
Start the migration before your renewal date, so your data is ready and checked when the contract ends. Check your Carta contract for its renewal and notice terms, since many annual contracts renew automatically.
What happens to my 409A?
Your current 409A report stays valid until it expires (usually 12 months, or sooner after a material event), so keep a copy from your Carta export. Switch by Dec 31 and your next 409A is $899 on any plan, instead of $1,599 on Free or $2,250 standalone.
How does Value8 pricing work?
Each plan has a simple annual price, published on this page, so there is no sales call to get a quote. Today those prices are flat, with no per-stakeholder fees. Carta prices each plan per stakeholder with a minimum annual fee.
Can I bring my data from Carta?
Yes. We import Carta exports, Pulley exports and plain CSV. If something doesn't map cleanly, a person on our side resolves it with you before go-live.
